Cabernet D.O.C. - Euganean Hills

Grape

Cabernet Franc. This French Origin’s grape has been grown in the area of Lispida since 1870. Cabernet franc can be drunk on his own (100%) or blended with other grapes varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and/or Merlot (10%).

Features

high herbaceous smell and taste, full ruby red or blood red color; aged Cabernet Franc tend to become more dark red and you can enjoy it as a "meditation wine".

Food

great with corn fed chicken, game, roast beef and aged cheeses.

Merlot D.O.C. - Euganean Hills

Grape

Merlot. As the previous grape, Merlot has a French Origin. The name “Merlot” derive from the Blackbird’s deep black feathers color, or simply because the blackbird love this grape

Features

Quite a full ruby red color that will change to a dark red color if you will age this wine. It has a dry taste, a pleasant smell of blueberries and raspberries

Food

roasted meat and vegetables, stews, cured meat and game

Rosso D.O.C. - Euganean Hills

Grape

It’s a tipical local blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvigno, Barbera and Raboso

Features

In the early stages it has a nice ruby red color. Aged Rosso D.O.C. tend to become dark red. It has a pleasant and characteristic smell of young fruity wine, and the taste is an explosion of different grapes flavours

Food

Young Rosso D.O.C. goes very well with vegetables soups, boiled and roasted meat. You will enjoy a glass of aged Rosso D.O.C. with roasted Guinea Fowl or Venison

Chardonnay D.O.C. - Euganean Hills

Grape

Chardonnay. French origins white grape use to produce the very well known Spumante, Italian sparkling wine

Features

good alcoholic content and high acidity with a fine, elegant smell of flowers and apples. Harmonious taste of honey and liquorice

Food

very good as an aperitif, fish and vegetables starters. It is also good with light soups, vegetables and wild herbs risotto and light fish main courses

Pinello D.O.C. - Euganean Hills

Grape

Pinello. This is one of the few grape that grows only in this area of the Veneto region. It has been always used to blend most of the white wines produced in this area. Produced as a single grape wine (100%) this is a light sparkling wine (there’s also a non sparkling version of this wine)

Features

With a light yellow and green color, green apple smell with a dry taste

Serprino D.O.C. - Euganean Hills

Grape

Serprino. Uncertain origins, this white grape is consider a less famous brother of Prosecco. It grows very well on hill soils

Features

Light yellow/pale color white sparkling wine, fruity and delicate smell with a dry taste

Food

Ideal as an aperitif or a social occasion, this wine goes very well with light starters and every kind of fish

Moscato D.O.C. - Euganean Hills

Grape

Moscato. This grape originally comes from the east side of the Mediterranean Sea and found perfect climate and soil conditions in Piedmont and in the Euganean Hills

Features

Light yellow/golden color and an unmistakable delicate and sweet "moscato" flavor

Food

A nice glass of Moscato wine during a lazy summer Sunday afternoon with your friends is the best way to enjoy this wine, or you can try it with a slice of apple crumble or biscotti
